WSQ 103E Conduct Security Screening using X-ray machine (SE-SO-103E-1)


This module teaches trainees how to conduct an X-ray machine screening on a person's belongings. Besides being trained on how to use the different functions of the X-ray machine effectively, trainees will learn how to identify a variety of threats that includes improvised explosive devices, firearms and knifes.

  • Identify suspicious threats and prohibited items when using an X-ray machine.
  • Perform the correct procedures and protocols on how operate an X-ray machine to screen a person's bag.
  • Look for suspicious and prohibited threats (items) while conducting screening a person's bag and deal with these threats using the proper procedure.
  • Be deployed to conduct screening on a person's bag while using an X-ray machine based on PLRD regulations.


Course Syllabus


  • Technique of conducting screening of a person's belongings using an X-ray machine.
  • Procedure of handling situations when identifying threats while performing X-ray machine screening.
  • X-ray software practice.

Asssessment

  • Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
  • Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions
  • Assessment duration : 2 hours

Training Duration

  • 3 working days excluding assessment
  • Standard Course Timing: 0830hrs to 1730hrs (Monday to Friday)
