Handle Security Incidents and Services [HSIS] CRS-Q-0037648-SEC

Incident Response (Handle Security Incidents and Services), formerly known as Handle Security Incidents and Services, is mandatory for officers to complete before entering the security industry. It equips officers with the necessary skills to handle various types of security-related incidents.


Individuals who have successfully completed this course will able to:

  1. Perform basic standard situational procedure and protocols that security personnel would need to know once they enter the security industry.
  2. Apply for the License to become a Security Officer to be able to join the security industry.

Course Syllabus

The course syllabus is as follows:

  1. Containing incidents of damage to facilities and equipment
  2. Handling fire-related incidents
  3. Handling crime-related incidents
  4. Handling medical or first-aid related incidents
  5. Handling bomb or IED (Improvised Explosive Device) threat incidents
  6. Searching, apprehending and arresting suspect
  7. Giving evidence in court


  1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
  2. Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions
  3. Assessment duration for Handle Security Incidents and Services (HSIS) is 2 hours and 5 minutes.
