Security Screening Management (Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag), formerly known as WSQ 119E Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag,  equips learners with the correct techniques and methods on how to:

  • conduct screenings of a person using a handheld metal detector
  • conduct screening of a person using a walk-through metal detector and
  • perform a manual bag search


Benefit

Individuals who have successfully completed this course will be able to:

  • Perform the correct procedures and protocols on how to conduct screening of a person, using a handheld metal detector, a walk-through metal detector and how to conduct a manual bag search.
  • Look for suspicious and prohibited threats(items) while conducting screening of a person or a person's bag and deal with these threats using the proper procedure.
  • Be deployed to conduct screening using walk-through or handheld metal detectors or conduct a bag search based on PLRD regulations.

 



Course Syllabus


  • Technique of conducting screening of a person using a walkthrough metal detector.
  • Technique of conducting screening of a person using a handheld metal detector.
  • Performing a bag search on a person's belongings.

Asssessment

  • Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
  • Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions
  • Assessment duration : 2 hours

Training Duration

  • 18 hours
  • 2 Training Days + 1
  • Standard Course Timing: 0830hrs to 1730hrs

Entry Requirements

  • Must have already obtained a valid security license from PLRD
  • Trainee must be able to speak and write simple English as the courses are conducted in English*
